SUMMARY:Tango Café October - Dancefloor Coordination & Big Potluck Edition
DESCRIPTION:This Tango Café we want to put a focus on something that we traditionally do at Tango Cafe\, our community potluck dinners. During this moment we all come together before the milonga and share our food with each other. It is at this moment that there is much “gezelligheid”\, we share moments of chit-chat and laughter and really connect with each other. You can contribute by bringing some food and or drinks\, we will make sure to bring plenty of drinks ourselves for the diner. Join our potuck\, sharing is caring 🙂 \nBefore our potluck dinner our members will share their insights of the workings of the dancefloor during a milonga. They will explain to you how to safely and how to comfortably move through the dance floor. What is tactful and what is perhaps not\, and also importantly how to take care of yourself on the dance floor. This workshop is meant for those with limited experience in social dancing\, or for those who want a refresher or some new insights into this topic. \nPrices \n\n\n\n\nMembers\nNon-members\n\n\n\n\nMilonga\nFree!\n€ 5\,-\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSchedule\n18:00 – 19:00    Tango Dance Floor Safety and Coordination Workshop\n19:00 – 20:00    Big Potluck Tango Community Dinner\n20:00 – 00:30    Tango Café with DJ Jory Boelhouwers \nThe tango café is organized by the Tango Committee of D.S.D.A. Blue Suede Shoes. Questions about D.S.D.A. Blue Suede Shoes Membership benefits? Email tango@dsda.nl. \nD.S.D.A. Blue Suede Shoes is a dance association by students for everyone passionate about dancing. One of our goals is to encourage new Argentine Tango dancers to start dancing socially. And where better than at our monthly Tango Café. We offer a warm atmosphere and a nice dance floor at a slightly underground location for a great evening. \nRoute to the venue\nWe know the location can be a bit tricky to find\, so here is a video to make it a bit clearer! \nhttps://dsda.nl/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/radost-entry-vid.mp4

SUMMARY:Connection Workshop / Cocktail Night
DESCRIPTION:What is connection and can it mean different things in different dance styles? What forms of connection are there? The official definition of connection in dance talks about the physical connection that’s used by partners to communicate cues and transfer power during dance. Connection can\, however\, also be visual. During this workshop we will teach you more about connection with your partner in dancing. You can apply this in all partner dances! \nAfterwards we will dance some Lindy Hop\, Ballroom\, and Argentine Tango at Lijm & Cultuur and enjoy some lovely cocktails 🍹🍸. Cheers. \nSchedule\n19:00 doors open\n19:15-20:00 Connection workshop\, part 1\n20:00-20:10 Break\n20:10-20:40 Connection workshop\, part 2\n20:40-22:30 Social dancing and cocktails!

DESCRIPTION:Blue Suede Shoes organizes weekly ballroom practices in which you can improve your moves\, but also just meet other dancers and hang out. Some dancers practice very hard here\, while others just enjoy social dancing and chatting with whoever is around. During the InDansen\, the practices are guided\, which means there are a few members around to help beginning dancers with their moves. Whether you want to practice the moves you learned at a workshop\, or just want to meet other dancers\, the weekly ballroom practice is the perfect occasion! \nThis week’s practice is in the Theatre Hall.
