SUMMARY:Argentine Tango workshop & social / Drinks
DESCRIPTION:Every week Blue Suede Shoes organizes their tango practice in which our members dance a bit\, practise their steps or use the practise as an excuse to hangout a bit. Our practice moment is as much dedicated to dancing as it is to chit-chat and socializing. We open our practises up to the InDansen Introduction Program\, in which we start the evening with a beginner workshop which is open to everyone\, in which we show you your first tango steps or a new tango move (depending on the level of the group). After the workshop we take a moment to chill out\, have some dances or a drink or two. Dancing might seem scary\, but after this evening you’ll see how much fun it can be 🙂 \nTime Schedule: \n19:00 – Tango Beginner Workshop\n20:00 – Tango Practise + Drinks\n23:00 – end \nVideo to get to the venue: https://m.youtube.com/shorts/R6G_5CWds-8

SUMMARY:Ballroom practice at InDansen
DESCRIPTION:Blue Suede Shoes organizes weekly ballroom practices in which you can improve your moves\, but also just meet other dancers and hang out. Some dancers practice very hard here\, while others just enjoy social dancing and chatting with whoever is around. During the InDansen\, the practices are guided\, which means there are a few members around to help beginning dancers with their moves. Whether you want to practice the moves you learned at a workshop\, or just want to meet other dancers\, the weekly ballroom practice is the perfect occasion! \nThis week’s practice is in the Rhythm A&B.

SUMMARY:Tango Workshops - Walking and Adornos
DESCRIPTION:WS1 | Walking: how to connect in the elegance (14:00-15:15)\nThey say that Tango IS Walking. And indeed it is! No matter how long you have been dancing Tango\, you always regularly go back to the walking technique. Undeniably\, mastering the walking is the key to everything else in Tango. \nIn this workshop you will first break down your walking to its fundamental components to have a deeper understanding of the walking mechanic. Then you will reassemble them again in a more connected and elegant form. To bring your parallel/cross front/side walking to the next level both in open and close embrace. \nWS 2 | Adornos for him & her: what\, how\, when and where (15:30-16:45)\nFor both leaders and followers\, adornos are a great tool to embellish and spice up their dance. But… What to do? How to make them look really nice and elegant? When to pull one off? Where to take/give the time for an adorno? \nIn this workshop both leaders and followers are going to get the answers by exploring several adornos\, their musicality and the related communication in the couple. \nSign up here! \nNote:\nWorkshops are suitable for all levels. Both workshops do require a partner. If you don’t have a partner\, you can still sign-up or send us a mail to tango@dsda.nl. We will then look for a suitable partner\, and we will let you know if a match has been found. And also there is a maximum capacity of how many couples can join the workshop. \nSchedule:\n13:45 – 14:00   Doors Open\n14:00 – 15:15   Workshop: Walking\n15:30 – 16:45   Workshop: Adornos for him & her \nPrices: (members / non-members)\nSingle Workshop:  €10 / €15\nBoth Workshops:   €15 / €22 \nLocation:\nLijm & Cultuur\, Main Building\, Third Floor

SUMMARY:Tango Bootcamp - Guidance in the posture and in the embrace for a beautiful connection
DESCRIPTION:We all know the importance of connecting with your partner during dancing. We are sometimes very busy within our heads with our steps that we lose the connection. We all like nice and fancy figures\, but we can’t deny the importance of keeping a good connection with our dancing partner. That is why we have invited Silvia to help guide us through the fundamentals of our posture and our embrace so we can achieve a beautiful connection. With eye to personal attention while keeping an overview of the entire class\, Silvia will make sure that everyone gets what they need. She will take us through individual exercises about our posture and embrace\, while later introducing exercises that can be done in couples to practise our connection. \nFor this bootcamp we recommend that you have fully finished at least 1 course in Tango to make sure that you get the most out of this bootcamp. \nYou can sign-up to this bootcamp individually\, but it is also possible to sign-up as a couple for those who are only comfortable with dancing with their dance partner. There is a limit of 16 participants for the Tango Bootcamp. \nTopics of the bootcamp:\nPosture\, Embrace & Connection \nSchedule:\n13:45 – 14:00   Doors Open\n14:00 – 16:00   Bootcamp \nPrices:\n€10 (members) / €15 (non-members) \nLocation:\nLijm & Cultuur\, Main Building\, Third Floor
