Confidential Contacts

Confidential Contact Persons

At BSS, your well-being is our top priority. We want to create an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and at ease. That’s why we have Confidential Contact Persons (CCPs) available to support you. If you ever experience or witness something that feels wrong, uncomfortable, or just doesn’t sit right with you, you can confide in a CCP. They are here to offer a listening ear and guidance in a completely confidential way. Common reasons people reach out to a CCP include:

  • Aggressive behavior / verbal aggression (on and off the dance floor).
  • (Sexual) harassment
  • Not respecting boundaries
  • Bullying
  • Gossiping
  • Worried about someone
  • Social/ethical dilemmas

Please know that no concern is too small. If you’re unsure whether to reach out, just know that we’re here to talk. And if you think a friend could use a confidential chat, please let them know we’re here for them, too.

What can you expect?

Sometimes, you just need a safe space to talk things out. Our confidential contact persons are here to listen without judgment, whether you’re dealing with something yourself or you’re worried about a friend.

Every conversation you have with a CCP is completely confidential. We’re here to help you find a path forward, but we won’t take any action without your consent. Just talking about your concerns might be a huge relief, or together, we can figure out the next steps or connect you with other resources that can provide the specific support you need.

Contact information

The mobile group-chats of the associations will have the contact information in the group description. You can contact a ccp of your preference. CCPs will not share confidential information between them.

External contacts

Sometimes, it can be really helpful to talk to someone outside of our association. If you feel more comfortable seeking help from an external, professional source, we want you to know you have options.

In the Netherlands, there are organizations like NOC-NSF and resources at TU Delft that can provide support. They have professional counselors who are experienced in handling sensitive situations and can offer a listening ear and guidance for issues like discrimination, harassment, and other experiences that have made you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
