DSDA Blue Suede Shoes is glad to be back to organising events, and what an event is coming up! Come celebrate the five year anniversary of the association and relive the golden age of Hollywood with our Lustrum gala: the best is yet to come! This event is located in the amazing Dansschool Wesseling, where two enormous dance floors will be ready for us to dance the night away, whether that is ballroom or Argentine tango. We will start the evening with workshops, after which the dance floor will be free for Argentine tango and ballroom/latin dancing. During the night our workshop givers will give amazing shows.

About our pro dancers:

We are very happy to welcome back Zaneta Leonidi and Take Uto, the founders of our tango community in Delft! They will give a workshop on: the structure of walking, vaiven in 3 & 4. This workshop will be accessible for beginner to more advanced dancers, and will be adjusted depending on the level of the participants. Halfway through the night, they will also perform for us!

For our ballroom workshop and show, we welcome for the first time Glenn Feddema and Claudia van der Helm! They haven’t been dancing together for a long time yet but they are already ranked number 1 in the national adults latin class. Glenn is also known for competing in Dancing with the Stars in 2019, so they definitely will be able to put on a show for us! The workshop will be Latin, and the topic depends on the level of the dancers that are present, so it is definitely accessible to beginning and more advanced ballroom dancers.

The best is yet to come, but this evening will certainly come close!

There will be two separate floors/rooms, one for ballroom and one for Argentine Tango. It is possible to easily switch.
