St. James Ballroom – Leidance x Blue Suede Shoes

Think back to the 1920’s. You’re a young person that wants to go to a party. A dance party, with booze, and a lot of fun. You’ve heard rumours of one such party being thrown, but it’s all very hush-hush. The government cannot know, or they would shut it down.

Leidance and Blue Suede Shoes bring to you: St. James Ballroom! Join us in this mixed party where we will dance Ballroom, Argentine Tango, and Latin dances!
We will split the dance floor in two, so that we can use one room for ‘Latin dances’ and the other for ‘Standard dances’.

To make sure everyone will be able to dance to their hearts content on this mixed party, there will be beginner workshops to get a taste of something you haven’t tasted (danced) yet. Join one of the beginner workshops at the start of the evening to participate in (almost) every dance style! There will be two workshop rounds, lasting 45 minutes each.
Round 1: Kizomba and Ballroom Standard
Round 2: Argentine Tango and Ballroom Latin

Wristbands of different colours will be used to show people which factions you’re in, i.e. show dance proficiency.

Tickets can be obtained from the Leidance website. Buying a ticket online will get you the password to enter the party. We can’t just go admitting everybody now can we? Forgot to do so? You can still buy a ticket at the door, but you have to get the password from an insider. We need to know if we can trust you!
