Tango Workshops – Walking and Adornos

WS1 | Walking: how to connect in the elegance (14:00-15:15)
They say that Tango IS Walking. And indeed it is! No matter how long you have been dancing Tango, you always regularly go back to the walking technique. Undeniably, mastering the walking is the key to everything else in Tango.

In this workshop you will first break down your walking to its fundamental components to have a deeper understanding of the walking mechanic. Then you will reassemble them again in a more connected and elegant form. To bring your parallel/cross front/side walking to the next level both in open and close embrace.

WS 2 | Adornos for him & her: what, how, when and where (15:30-16:45)
For both leaders and followers, adornos are a great tool to embellish and spice up their dance. But… What to do? How to make them look really nice and elegant? When to pull one off? Where to take/give the time for an adorno?

In this workshop both leaders and followers are going to get the answers by exploring several adornos, their musicality and the related communication in the couple.

Workshops are suitable for all levels. Both workshops do require a partner. If you don’t have a partner, you can still sign-up or send us a mail to tango@dsda.nl. We will then look for a suitable partner, and we will let you know if a match has been found. And also there is a maximum capacity of how many couples can join the workshop.
