Tango Café June 2026

The incredible Jory and Lorena will join us for the summer edition of Tango Café! Before the milonga, we are going to have two workshops by them, the first one on Closed Embrace & Pausas and the second one on Milonga-Friendly Colgadas (an elegant out-of-axis movement). After the workshops, we will share a meal together. Last but not least, we will dance the night away.
Workshop 1 – Closed Embrace & Pausas
Discover the depth of connection in Argentine tango through close embrace and the art of the pausa. Explore body awareness, grounded walking, musicality, shared balance, and expressive stillness — learning how pauses can create intimacy, tension, and elegance on the dance floor. Suitable for social dancers seeking deeper connection and musical expression.
Workshop 2 – Milonga-Friendly Colgadas
Colgadas is a playful off-axis movement where partners share balance and create a feeling of suspension together. This workshop is dedicated to adapting colgadas for real social tango environments. The focus is on compact, controlled, and musical colgadas that respect the ronda, protect nearby dancers, and maintain the intimacy of the embrace. We will explores how balance, timing, elasticity, and subtle off-axis technique can create elegant colgadas that feel natural within crowded milongas.

And where better than at our monthly Tango Café. We offer a warm atmosphere and a nice dance floor at a slightly underground location for a great evening.
