Tango Café November 2023 – Zaneta & Fabian

Special guests Zaneta Leonidi and the Argentine Fabian Ballejos will be joining us from Greece for our November Tango Café! They will teach a seminar during the afternoon, and in the evening they will treat us to a wonderful show! After the workshops, before the milonga, we have our Potluck Community Dinner, so bring a dish to share, or make a donation! TDJ Raoul will provide us with the perfect tandas to use your new learned skills!
Fabian Ballejos started dancing Tango in Buenos Aires, where he originally comes from 30 years ago. For the last 20 years, he has been living in Athens, Greece, where he was running one of the bigger Tango schools in the city centre with his ex-partner. He has a very broad experience as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer.
Zaneta Leonidi started dancing tango while she was an MS student in Paris 18 years ago. She has taught for 10 consecutive years at the TU Delft and together with her ex-partner set a foundation for the Tango community in South Holland and specially in Delft. Fabian and Zaneta will be presenting themselves for the first time internationally in Delft.
Together they will help us improve our skills with a two-part seminar, we recommend at least half a year of experience for both parts.
Part 1: Musicality; beat, double beat and pausa
Dive deeper into the musical elements of the beat, the double beat, and the pausa. With focus on the orchestras of D’Arienzo and Di Sarli.
Part 2: Introduction to Milonga Lisa
Learn Milonga Lisa, a strong beat driven type of milonga that keeps your feet moving.

Joining for the Tango Potluck? Bring something to share!
Everyone, student or not, from the very advanced to the complete beginner, is welcome to come dance. This evening we also have our Potluck Community Dinner, in which we bring some food to share with each other. If you would like to enjoy some drinks and food from our bar, you can either bring something to share or make a donation!

D.S.D.A. Blue Suede Shoes is a dance association by students for everyone passionate about dancing. One of our goals is to encourage new Argentine Tango dancers to start dancing socially. And where better than at our monthly Tango Café. We offer a warm atmosphere and a nice dance floor at a slightly underground location for a great evening.
