Tango Café October 2025 – Jory & Lorena
The incredible Jory and Lorena will join us for the autumn edition of Tango Café! Before the milonga, we are going to have two workshops by them, the first one on improvisation and the second one on musicality and ornaments. Make sure to sign up for the workshops via this link.
Workshop 1 – Improvisation: Unleash your creativity (Intermediate)
Tango is not a choreography — it’s a conversation. During this workshop we’ll explore how to create movement in the moment, by listening to our partner and the music. Breaking your boundaries and creating a new repertoire with steps you already know to surprise your partner and yourself.
Workshop 2 – Musicality & Ornaments (Advanced)
Ornaments are not tricks — just like musicality, they are punctuation marks in your dance. Learn when to whisper, when to shout, and when to say nothing at all.
After the workshops, we will share a meal together. Last but not least, we will dance the night away on tandas by TDJ Armin, enriched by an amazing show by Jory and Lorena.

Everyone, student or not, from the very advanced to the complete beginner, is welcome to come dance. This evening we also have our Potluck Community Dinner, in which we bring some food to share with each other. If you would like to enjoy some drinks and food from our bar, you can either bring something to share or make a donation!

D.S.D.A. Blue Suede Shoes is a dance association by students for everyone passionate about dancing. One of our goals is to encourage new Argentine Tango dancers to start dancing socially. And where better than at our monthly Tango Café. We offer a warm atmosphere and a nice dance floor at a slightly underground location for a great evening.
